Back in Feburary, when I wrote my first blog post, I talked about the fact that a big part of my job is keeping my preferences to myself. Though I still firmly believe that a good designer needs to be a bit of a chameleon, I thought it’d be nice to share some of the looks I have been loving lately.
There are many amazing designs floating around this spring, so I’ve decided to showcase just three of my favourites today.
1. These pendant lights from Sarsfield Brooke Ltd.
Available in a range of sizes and colours – including powder pink, sand, mustard, white, and more – the Mom range of pendant lights are absolute perfection. Manufactured in Italy by Penta, these lights are the ultimate in simplicity and style.
2. Anne Ten Donkelaar’s latest photo series.
Though I find some of the other installations in the Flower Construction series featured on DesignBoom to be a little too formal, I think this image – titled Underwater Ballet – looks amazing. Created by submerging floral arrangements in cold water, I love the way Anne Ten Donkelaar has cleverly combined the art with the floral.
3. This breathtaking wallpaper mural by Rebel Walls.
My favourite from Rebel Walls’ range of mural wallpapers is called Misty Water. Soft and romantic, I know this wallpaper would look fabulous in a master bedroom. Mural pictures can be made to fit a wall of any size, and are priced per square metre.
